Valentine Quilting

I am doing some Valentine Sewing!

I am working on a heart Log Cabin block but I am doing it in squares.

It's a great scrap buster. Using 17 fabrics for the heart and 1 for the back ground.

My squares are 1 1/2 inch squares ending with a 10 1/2 inch block.

Clothespin Bag is A Must!!

 

In making a clothes pin bag there are a few rules.

1- all fabrics have to be darling.

2- find or make and easy pattern that looks hard.

3- if it has an apron embroidery always makes it pop!

4- if it needs buttons, use the cutest ones you can find.

5- if your bag is darling your neighbor will pay more attention to the bag rather than notice you need to brush your hair

The end results will be so worth it!

Pincushion Fun

I love pincushions! And it seems the little extras 

are what really adds that special touch.

And a cute button and a charm is one of my 

favorite touches.

This one clips right on to the table.

I am ready to use it now!

The center is wool. I really like combining fabric and wool.

Some of my favorite quilt patterns have the combination 

of the two.

Maybe I will just use it as a decoration....

My Favorite Bag

This is my favorite all time bag!

Mine is the Bionic Gear Bag and I love it!

This is my favorite fabric too.

I haven't made the little zipper bag yet, 

mostly because my cute tomato fits.

"Farm Girl Vintage" Fun

I am dying to get started making things from Lori's new book

Farm Girl Vintage

So I am doing a mini quilt for above my stove. 

Dipping my toe in the pond to test it out!

The waters perfect!!

I probably should make some hot pads too!

I loved making this hen and the directions were very easy to follow.

And the book is worth every penny.

I love how she did a Ton of blocks in 2 sizes and then did quilts you can put any of the blocks in because they all fit! She even has some that both sizes fit together.

It was a great idea! 

You won't be sorry because you can make these any style by just changing your fabric choices.

I like French Country where some girls are using more of a Gracey look.

And I saw 1 looking more modern.

Go Baby!

I bought a Go Baby with this cute bag and have never used it.

Can you believe it....

I was inspired when I bought it but with a new job and moving I never got around to it.

But I was inspired again by Jodi over at Pleasant Home

So out it came but I have no dies....hahahahaha just the machine and the cute bag.

so I went to accuquilt.com and ordered 1.

I know what you are thinking 1 who orders 1 ....

well I have to give it a whirl first and then I will be hitting the quilt stores for more.

I ordered the hunter Star that Jodi shows on her blog. I love love love the table runner she did.

So hopefully it will be here soon and then I can share.

I wonder what it would like scrappy....

This could be my new addiction.....

Laundry Quilt

I love this quilt and was sad I couldn't find a place to hang it.

My Laundry room wall was to small and then it hit me....

Hang it on the wall out side the Laundry room!

So it is now where you come in from the side door and the first thing I see.

Love it!

Dish Towels in the Making

I love making dish towels.

I even like embroidering the edges.

I can make these all day...

They make me smile!

Stitching Spring

I am so ready for it to be warm. I am thinking if I stitch something spring it will get here that much quicker.

So what could be more spring than flowers in watering cans.

These are 2 of the 4 patterns I have, and I just love stitching them.

I am thinking thus time I might do them in colors and not just red.

One Down....

One block down and 8 to go!

I can do it!

I am just taking my time and doing this quilt inbetween quilts.

I am going to use scraps from the quilts I am working on and do this one.

Pincushion Done!!

I love this pincushion. 

Mostly because my Husband stitched it.

He stitches and I sew. I love that combination!!

Kelly stitched the stitching bag too.

These are both Shepherd's Bush patterns. 

They are my favorite patterns and so any time I can stitch them or get Kelly to I will!

I went shopping and found this darling line!

I liked it so much but now what to make....

First I thought I would add this to my stash, but I just love how 

bright everything is.
